VOLUNTEERING AT THE STATE LEVEL

Volunteering at the State level is fun and educational.

NOMINATE AN OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER FOR SPECIAL RECOGNITION

Help give your volunteers the recognition they deserve! Nominate outstanding volunteers to be recognized by the Columbia Council PTA.

Here's how it works:

  • Each CCPTA member unit may nominate up to three outstanding volunteers using the Volunteer Nomination Form. The unit is responsible for determining the selection criteria.

  • The deadline for submission of nominations to CCPTA is March 15.

  • The CCPTA Outstanding Volunteer Comittee Chair will notify (by letter) each recipient that he/she has been chosen as an Outstanding Volunteer. A copy of the letter will be sent to the nominator, unit president, school principal and superintendent.

  • Outstanding volunteers will be recognized during the May CCPTA meeting . Specific information about the reception will be included in the notification letter.

  • At the reception, the unit will be responsible for saying a few words about their nominees. Although not mandatory, many of the units present small gifts (flower bouquets, memento from the school, etc.) to their nominees.

  • CCPTA will present a certificate.
